Cariloop Raises $400,000 Seed Round to Help Families Make Easy Choices about Senior Care
Appoints Former President of Texas Health Resources Physician Group, Dr. Michael Stoltz, to Board of Directors
June 4, 2014 (Richardson, Texas) – After graduating from the Health Wildcatters Accelerator program last November and establishing its headquarters in Richardson, TX, Cariloop is excited to announce that the Company has closed $400,000 in seed funding led by Dallas-based Green Park & Golf (“GPG”) Ventures and Fort Worth-based Corbett Capital.
The funding round also included Dallas-based real estate investors Silverado Interests and The LaSalle Group. This investment will allow Cariloop to grow and scale, primarily being used for the continued expansion of Cariloop’s team and the development of several distribution channels throughout Texas.
In addition to the financing, Cariloop is also thrilled to announce the addition of Dr. Michael Stoltz to the Company’s Board. Stoltz recently retired as the President of Texas Health Resources Physicians Group where he oversaw 800+ doctors across north Texas.
The addition of Stoltz to the Board comes at an exciting time for Cariloop as the Company continues to build momentum in the Dallas-Fort Worth and West Texas regions, gain the confidence of healthcare providers throughout the state, and create more employment opportunities and positive effects on the Texas economic climate.
Developing a group of strategic investors like GPG Ventures and Corbett Capital will be crucial to Cariloop’s success as the Company looks to transform how people discover solutions in the senior space. Since launching its new website in February, Cariloop has signed up several hundred senior care providers onto its platform and helped several dozen families get matched up with the right type of care or service – a process that has traditionally been overly stressful, time consuming, and costly for both sides.
“Our population is aging, and people are doing their best to find the care or service that fits their needs. Cariloop provides an empowering, easy to use, patient centric, mechanism for these buyers to find great options and make great choices. We couldn’t be more excited about the direction the Company is going and are anxious to see them make a real difference in healthcare,” said Carl Soderstrom, Managing Partner of Green Park & Golf Ventures.
