For over 85 years, Carollo Engineers has been a leader in water and wastewater solutions while fostering a culture of employee well-being. However, in 2020, Carollo recognized that its benefits program wasn’t keeping pace with the evolving needs of its diverse workforce. The HR and Benefits team needed a solution that could support employees across different life stages, from recent graduates to those working beyond typical retirement age, especially with caregiving challenges.
Carollo sought a partner to provide personalized caregiving support, and they found it in Cariloop. Jodi Hearn, Benefits Manager and Associate Vice President at Carollo, explained, “Cariloop isn’t just an expert in caregiving resources. They are compassionate problem solvers. Sometimes our employees don’t know what help they need, and Cariloop digs into their situation to provide the right resources.”
During the implementation, Cariloop’s dedicated account team ensured a smooth rollout without burdening Carollo’s internal teams. Cariloop’s services expanded to cover remote caregiving, childcare and financial and legal planning, giving employees nationwide access to support. Since its launch, Cariloop has become a trusted partner, reducing employee stress by 67% and helping them save time and energy.
One example of Cariloop’s impact was when a Care Coach assisted an employee in finding elderly care for a relative. Through detailed conversations, the Coach discovered the employee also needed help with college preparations for their child. The Care Coach provided resources for healthcare, counseling, financial aid and legal forms, easing the employee’s burdens and helping them refocus.
Carollo employees appreciate that Cariloop is fully employer-sponsored and free to use. Knowing they have support for caregiving challenges gives them peace of mind. Hearn summed up the program’s value: “Caregiving is something every one of us will face at some point. Whether dealing with health, financial, or emotional support issues, Cariloop can help relieve the stress and anxiety of caregiving.”
