Cariloop Appoints Ammar Bahrani to Chief Financial Officer To Support the Company’s Strategic Growth Plans

The Cariloop Team | August 12, 2024

Cariloop is proud to announce the appointment of Ammar Bahrani to the Chief Financial Officer role.

“Ammar has been such a crucial part of our success these last four years as we’ve rapidly expanded our eligible member population and experienced very positive financial and operational performance,” said Michael Walsh, CEO of Cariloop. “It’s been phenomenal to watch him partner with our entire team and to see how supportive he’s been of the work we do each day to help caregivers and families. He’s an incredible financial executive and an even more incredible human being.”

Bahrani has a background in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and private equity, and joined Cariloop in December 2020 to lead the finance and operations efforts of the company. Since then, he was elevated to the position of Chief Business Officer, where he was responsible for People, Finance and Operations teams. He played a pivotal role in supporting the company in raising its latest Series B and C funding rounds, working closely with Walsh to build relationships with the investment and banking communities.

As he transitions to the Chief Financial Officer role, he will shift some of his focus towards the company’s corporate development strategy and work closely with the executive team to provide support for both organic and inorganic growth initiatives.

“The work we do each day for caregivers and their family deeply resonates with me on a personal level,” Bahrani said. “We’ve grown so much over the last few years and it’s been exciting to see the momentum we are building in the market and the impact that we are having on families. I am grateful for the trust the executive team has in me and honored to help us position ourselves for acceleration as we work to reach as many caregivers as possible.”

Bahrani holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Loyola University of Chicago and Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. He has held roles with Protiviti, US Airways, Navistar, Chamberlain Group, and FCM, and sits on the Board for the Elawa Farm Foundation and is a founding member of The F Suite, an independent, invitation-only community for CFOs of leading high-growth technology companies and venture capital funds. He lives in Lake Bluff, Illinois, with his wife and two sons.
