Cariloop, the Caregiver Support company that pairs caregivers and their families with dedicated Care Coaches as they plan for and manage the health and well-being of their loved ones, is proud to announce its co-founder, Steven Theesfeld, is transitioning from Chief Integrity Officer to become the company’s first Chief Impact Officer.
Since founding the company alongside CEO Michael Walsh in 2012 and serving as a board member, Theesfeld has worked alongside the People, Finance and Operations teams to build an award-winning culture and encourage a people-first mentality that has been critical as Cariloop grows and scales. In addition, during the pandemic, with the support of the company’s board and shareholders, he helped lead the conversion of Cariloop into a Public Benefit Corporation.
“This was particularly important to us because we were able to engrain interdependence into the legal foundation of our company and further define our purpose. We must consider what ‘success’ looks like from many perspectives, including that of the caregiver, the Looper, the customer, the investor, our global community, and define how we as a Company will make a positive impact on our society,” Theesfeld said. “In order to create the global standard for the way we support caregivers, families and each other, we must lead with a stakeholder-focused mindset.”
In his newly formed role of Chief Impact Officer, he will work side-by-side with the entire Cariloop team to champion the company’s global impact strategy and lead the company in finding new and innovative ways to support the local, domestic and international communities they operate in. Caregiving knows no boundaries and Theesfeld will lead the Impact team in determining how the company expands and continues to serve caregivers and families around the world.
“Steven is a remarkable leader and has been instrumental in helping create this value-centric, purpose-driven culture that our team loves about Cariloop,” Walsh said. “He’s always had an interest in taking a people-focused approach to company operations, building a business that serves humanity, and giving back to the communities we serve. I look forward to seeing him flourish in this new role and working alongside him as we serve and support families on a global scale.”
