For the 32nd year, The Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship at Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business recognizes the 100 fastest-growing small private companies in North Texas.
Collectively, the 2022 Dallas 100 companies generated more than $9 billion in sales from 2019 to 2021. Over that same time, the 100 companies created more than 12,000 jobs and grew average revenue by 141%. In 2021 alone, the 100 companies generated sales of over $4.5 billion.
“These companies deserve recognition for their contributions to the area economy, especially over the past three years when the pandemic took a huge toll on how we all live and do business,” said Simon Mak, executive director of the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship at the SMU Cox School of Business. “They did so much more than survive—they all thrived.”
To qualify for the Dallas 100, companies must be headquartered in DFW and be independent, privately held corporations, proprietorships or partnerships as of May 1, 2022. The company must have at least three years of history with sales of at least $500,000 but less than $100 million in the fiscal years 2019-2021.
Companies that apply are judged on their sales growth over the last three years and have a credit report and character satisfactory to the Dallas 100 judges.
