Cariloop Earns Prestigious B Corp Certification

The Cariloop Team | August 3, 2022

Cariloop is proud to announce it is the first Caregiver Support company to be a Certified B Corporation™ (B Corp™), which comes after it also converted to a Public Benefit Corporation last year.

“I am so excited and proud of this incredible achievement for our team, and to receive this important certification as we celebrate our 10-year anniversary was really special. This certification is a symbol of our team’s fierce dedication to serving our stakeholders, and caring deeply about the manner in which we build and grow our organization,” said Michael Walsh, CEO of Cariloop. “We are so honored to earn this socially responsible business recognition and join this coalition of more than 5,300 B Corps worldwide.”

Verified through a rigorous audit by B Lab, Cariloop joins an elite group of organizations that are committed to benefiting not just shareholders, but all stakeholders, including employees, customers, vendors, investors, communities and environment. Certified B Corps, such as Lemonade, Patagonia and Allbirds, are leading a global movement to solve society’s most critical challenges while upholding the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. As a B Corp, Cariloop will now work alongside these organizations striving to create an economic system that is inclusive, equitable, and regenerative for all.

There are more than 3,000 Public Benefit Corporations that have met the highest standards of legal accountability, and more than 1,900 Certified B Corporations in the U.S. who have further distinguished themselves as leaders by meeting the highest standards of overall verified performance. Cariloop is proud to have done both.

With this certification and its stakeholder-focused governance structure, Cariloop is actively pursuing its vision of setting the global standard for the way it supports caregivers, families and each other. On average, 73% of employees are struggling to balance their work duties with caregiving responsibilities. Without proper support, some are forced to seek leaves of absence, different employment opportunities or simply leave the workforce altogether. Cariloop is supporting employers by providing support to this critical segment of the workforce to not only be more present and productive at work, but also with their loved ones.
