Nationally Recognized Neurologist, Speaker and Author Dr. Anne Lipton Joins Cariloop Board of Advisors
Company Also Announces Updated Website Features to be Released in June
March 2, 2015 (Dallas, Texas) – As Cariloop continues to build momentum and expand its model for helping families and caregivers, the Company is very excited to announce the addition of Dr. Anne Lipton to its board of advisors.
Lipton is a nationally recognized neurologist, author and dementia specialist. She now serves as a full-time speaker and writer, and she is the leading author of The Common Sense Guide to Dementia for Clinicians and Caregivers. USA Today recognized Lipton as one of the nation’s most influential doctors.
Lipton’s voice is a valuable asset to Cariloop’s board of advisors, which also includes nationally recognized doctors Michael Stoltz and R. Malcolm Stewart. As a dementia specialist, Lipton meshes perfectly with Cariloop’s mission to help older adults with their care needs.
“What first stands out for me are the dynamic, compassionate people of Cariloop, many of whom have personal and/or professional experience as caregivers,” Lipton said. “They are dedicated to trying to help families find the right care for their loved ones. Cariloop fills a gap in resources available for caregivers and for everyone in planning future care.”
Lipton’s own professional experience as a caregiver is what Cariloop CEO, Michael Walsh, recognizes as invaluable in her addition to the board of advisors.
“Dr. Lipton brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Cariloop related to helping families navigate a very stressful time in their lives,” Walsh said. “We’re thrilled to have her involved with this next stage of development for Cariloop.”
One of Cariloop’s next big milestones include launching new features on their website in June which will provide caregivers the ability to create a care plan and collaborate with other family members as they do. The new website will also offer availability of interactive experiences with health care professionals that can walk through caregivers’ needs with them.
“Cariloop features an innovative technology platform combined with a personalized approach, online and in-person, to connect people with care,” Lipton said. “Care planning is all too often neglected, leaving important decisions to be made in the midst of a medical crisis, sometimes without knowing a patient’s preferences or having access to all available options.”
