Dallas-Fort Worth is known as a haven for entrepreneurs and thriving businesses. That was definitely on display when a national magazine highlighted the companies that best exemplify the attributes needed to succeed. Entrepreneur Magazine recently unveiled its annual list of the most entrepreneurial companies in the country and North Texas made a strong showing with 14 winners, including Cariloop. Austin had 11 honorees, Houston had five, San Antonio had one and Waco had one.
In choosing the winners, Entrepreneur said it looked for companies that “excel in expertly balancing impact, innovation, growth and leadership by way of grit, perseverance and passion.”

– Simpli.fi, a Fort Worth digital advertising business. Rank: 21st
– TSP, an IT services provider based in Dallas. Rank: 22nd
– 5, an Irving-based energy advisory firm. Rank: 30th
– J.W. Logistics, a Frisco company specializing in transportation and logistics. Rank: 96th
– Popular Ink, a printing and packaging business headquartered in McKinney. Rank: 152nd
– Dialexa, a Dallas software company. Rank: 191st
– Hutson Insurance Group, a business insurance agency based in Plano. Rank: 210th
– Cariloop, a health care company headquartered in Dallas. Rank: 256th
– PMG, a Fort Worth company specializing in digital marketing. Rank: 261st
– Ironside Human Resources, a health care staffing firm based in Dallas. Rank: 285th
– MyTelemedicine, a McKinney-based telemedicine business. Rank: 339th
– Nexrage Studios, a custom software, app and web development firm headquartered in Plano. Rank: 348th
– Blackwell SGP, a marketing agency and consulting firm based in Fort Worth. Rank: 354th
Entrepreneur magazine said it only considered privately owned U.S. businesses with at least one founder still involved in operations.
